Health Director Report <br /> <br />In addition to her report, Ms. Stewart provided highlights of the New Health Director Orientation <br />she attended that fulfilled a requirement of her position. She also mentioned that the Family <br />Success Alliance (FSA) was awarded a grant from the Kenan Charitable Trust in the amount of <br />$300,000 ($100,000/year for the next 3 years). Lastly, Ms. Stewart stated that the Medicaid <br />Cost Settlement payment for 2016 had been received. <br /> <br />C. Media Items <br /> <br />Kristin Prelipp, Communications Manager, briefly mentioned the article topics of the FSA, <br />whooping cough and poverty simulation that Ashley Rawlinson brought to Person County that <br />were included in the Media Items packet. <br /> <br />Media items were in the packet which focused on Orange County’s events and our <br />involvement in various efforts. <br /> <br />At 8:50pm, Paul Chelminski motioned to close the open session and Jennifer Deyo <br />seconded. <br /> <br /> <br />VII. Closed Session to Consult with Attorney <br /> <br />Paul Chelminski motioned to go into closed session and Mia Burroughs seconded. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII. Board Comments <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.
