Strategic Planning 2019-2022 FSA Strategic Planning Committee : Quintana Stewart, Health Director Michele Woodson, Interim Chief Academic Officer, OCS Charlos Banks, Senior Executive for Student Support, CHCCS (and Janet Cherry, Systems of Care Director) Angela Clapp, Zone 4 Navigator Mariela Hernandez, Zone 6 Navigator LaKiera Grimes, Compass Center for Women and Families Mark Marcoplos, County Commissioner April Oo, Refugee Community Partnership (Former Zone 6 Navigator) Delores Bailey, Executive Director, Empowerment, Inc Latoya Manning, Parent representative (from Parent Council) Linda Hindman, Orange County Partnership for Young Children Foundational Assessment: FSA contracted with SPG Associates to facilitate the strategic planning process. In May and June, data were collected to draft a Foundational Assessment that included interviews, focus groups, and an online survey. These data informed the work of the committee: Parents: 2 focus groups conducted (in Spanish and Burmese) and interviews with 11 parents who are currently enrolled with FSA. Other Stakeholders: focus group with ten agencies who receive funding from United Way as a part of FSA and interviews with 14 other key stakeholders. Staff: Interviews with five Navigators Online Survey: An online survey was distributed through FSA’s listserv and by email directly to other key stakeholders in mid-May and was open for 2 weeks. There were 58 respondents. The committee met on July 10 and August 8 to draft a strategic plan framework. During August, the committee is gathering input from the Board of Health, FSA Advisory Council, and parents, and then the committee will meet again on September 5 to finalize the draft. We will gather additional feedback throughout September and then present a final draft for review and approval to the Council in October. There will be a public loopback session on September 17 from 2-4pm, location TBC.
