We achieve these purposes by making advancements in Education, <br />Economic Development, and Health & Well- being. <br />c) Types of Services the Agency Provides (bullet format): <br />El Centro Hispano has three priority areas that guide its interventions. <br />Education <br />- School Readiness- Kindergarten Preparation, K -12 tutoring, College Readiness, <br />Parent Education & Support <br />- Adult Literacy and Job Skills Training <br />Economic Development (under Center for Employment and Leadership) <br />- Employment & Income Security <br />- Workforce Training and Development <br />- Financial Literacy & Asset Building <br />Health and Well -being <br />Community Support Services (Information, Referral, and case management) <br />- immigrant Services (Immigration Lawyer, Pathway to Citizenship, Forums, etc.) <br />Health Promotion & Disease Prevention (Health Outreach, screenings, <br />education, and linkage to services) <br />Access to Healthcare (Navigation services, LATCH, Annual Health Fair) <br />In addition, ECH works to build community leadership and action through its <br />Community Engagement and Advocacy Initiative. This section of the organization <br />works to increase the capacity of community members to respond to, advocate for, <br />and address issues affecting the lives of Latinos in the area; assuring representation <br />and inclusion of Latinos and their concerns in planning and decision - making. <br />Efforts seek to gather and provide accurate information aboutito the Latino <br />community, assist with community assessments, inform policy, develop leaders, <br />conduct grassroots outreach, foster collaborative action and inspire cross - cultural <br />appreciation.
