Page 10 of 23 <br />Habitat promotes the positive value of diversity by uniting people of varied <br />economic, religious, social, and racial backgrounds to work together toward a <br />common goal – building and repairing decent homes in partnership with families <br />in need. <br />d)Agency’s History with Providing These Services: <br />Habitat is requesting funding for its Home Preservation program. Habitat first began <br />completing exterior home repairs in 2010. Habitat has received government funding <br />for these projects in the past, and has proven its ability to successfully complete and <br />report the agreed upon work. In addition, during the fall of 2016 Habitat piloted <br />providing critical repairs to homeowners in Northside and Pine Knolls. These repairs <br />were also subject to grant funding restrictions and reporting. In total, Habitat has <br />successfully completed more than 110 repair projects in Orange County. <br /> <br />e) Other Pertinent Agency Information (Ex. Has the agency experienced any <br />major changes in the past year? Is there a new Executive Director? Are there <br />new initiatives?) <br />Habitat is working on its first senior housing community within the Waterstone <br />development in Hillsborough. Habitat expects to break ground this spring on the <br />infrastructure for 24 homes designed to accommodate seniors ages 55 and up. This <br />project meets an urgent and growing need for affordable senior housing in the <br />county. Habitat also hired a full-time Home Preservation Manager in the first quarter <br />of FY18 to manage the construction side of our expanded home repair program. <br /> <br />f) Schedule of Positions (For Entire Agency) Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff will <br />be noted as 1.00; half time as .50; quarter time as .25, etc. Calculate a Full <br />Time Equivalent for all recorded volunteer hours using the following: Total <br />Volunteer Hours/2,080 = Volunteer FTE <br /> <br /># of FTE - Full-Time Paid Positions: 19 <br /> <br /># of FTE - Paid Part-Time Positions: 0 <br /> <br /># of Volunteers: 2,140 <br /> <br /># of FTE - Volunteers: 8 <br /> <br />g) Living Wage <br /> <br />Does this agency pay permanent employees a minimum living wage?
