Engage qualified instructors to instruct Owner's personnel to adjust, operate, and maintain systems, <br />subsystems, and equipment not part of a system. <br />B. Scheduling: Provide instruction at mutually agreed on times. For equipment that requires seasonal operation, <br />provide similar instruction at start of each season. Schedule training with Owner with at least seven days' <br />advance notice. <br />C. Warranty service: Train Owner in repair and troubleshooting during each warranty service call. <br />D. For each training session, submit on letterhead name of trainer, date of training, names of Owner's personnel <br />trained, and systems /equipment trained on. <br />E. For factory training, documentation to be on letterhead of organization conducting training. <br />3.20 WARRANTY <br />A. This Contractor shall guarantee all materials, equipment, workmanship and each and every piece of <br />apparatus which he furnished and which he installs under this contract against defects and failures of any <br />nature for a period of one year from date on which the system is accepted. <br />B. Apparatus furnished by this Contractor shall be guaranteed to be satisfactory when operated under rated <br />conditions in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and to be of size, function, and capacity specified on <br />drawings or in the specifications. <br />C. Equipment manufacturers shall warrant equipment furnished for this project for same time span as installing <br />contractors warranty period as set above and elsewhere in these specifications. <br />1. Warranty start date shall be as established by the Designer. Refer to General Conditions, <br />Supplementary General Conditions, and Division 1 specifications for establishment of warranty start <br />dates. <br />2. The provisions of the Contract Documents supersede and override any manufacturer's standard <br />warranty provisions. <br />3. Use of equipment during construction does not relieve the contractor, subcontractors, manufacturers, <br />or suppliers of their <br />D. Upon notice from the Designer or Owner, Contractor shall immediately check system, make necessary repairs <br />or adjustments as required; due to faulty workmanship, materials, faults, operation or equipment, without cost <br />to the Owner, and instruct Owner in proper operation, adjustment, and care of systems. <br />E. The Contractor shall submit service call tickets, reports, or other documentation of each warranty service call <br />to the Designer. <br />3.21 Piping materials and installation instructions common to most piping systems <br />A. Install piping according to the following requirements and Division 15 Sections specifying piping systems. <br />B. Drawing plans, schematics, and diagrams indicate general location and arrangement of piping systems. <br />Indicated locations and arrangements were used to size pipe and calculate friction loss, expansion, pump <br />sizing, and other design considerations. Install piping as closely as indicated unless deviations to layout are <br />approved prior to installation. <br />C. Install piping in concealed locations, unless otherwise indicated and except in equipment rooms and service <br />areas. <br />D. Install piping indicated to be exposed and piping in equipment rooms and service areas at right angles or <br />parallel to building walls.
