DocuSign Envelope ID: 9826C043- 4C32- 49CD- A4CC- DC28ABAB7CE7 <br />SECTION 236000 - COMMON WORK RESULTS FOR HVAC <br />the manufacturer for a complete installation, whether or not specifically indicated on the drawings or <br />specifications. <br />Standard Products: If available, and unless custom products or nonstandard options are specified, <br />provide standard products of types that have been produced and used successfully in similar situations <br />on other projects. <br />Owner reserves the right to limit selection to products with warranties not in conflict with requirements <br />of the Contract Documents. <br />Where products are accompanied by the term "as selected," Designer will make selection. <br />Descriptive, performance, and reference standard requirements in the Specifications establish "salient <br />characteristics" of products. <br />D. Product Selection Procedures: <br />1. Products: Where Specifications include a list of names of both products and manufacturers, provide <br />one of the products listed that complies with requirements. <br />2. Manufacturers: Where Specifications include a list of manufacturers' names, provide a product by one <br />of the manufacturers listed that complies with requirements. <br />3. Basis -of- Design Product: Where Specifications name a product and include a list of manufacturers, <br />provide the specified product or a comparable product by one of the other named manufacturers. <br />Drawings and Specifications indicate sizes, profiles, dimensions, and other characteristics that are <br />based on the product named. <br />E. Responsibility of the Contractor: The responsibility for determining dimensions, utility requirements, fitting of <br />work with other trades, sequencing and coordination of work, for Product Substitutions and Comparable <br />Products rests solely with the Contractor. <br />Manufacturer's Warranties: Where specifications require manufacturer's warranties, the provisions of the <br />Contract Documents take precedence over any manufacturer's "standard" warranty provisions, exclusions, <br />etc. <br />3.16 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br />A. Substantial Completion: Before requesting inspection for determining date of Substantial Completion, <br />complete the following. List items below that are incomplete in request. <br />1. Prepare a list of items to be completed and corrected (punch list), the value of items on the list, and <br />reasons why the Work is not complete. <br />2. Complete startup testing of systems. <br />3. Submit test records. <br />4. Submit changeover information related to Owner's occupancy, use, operation, and maintenance. <br />5. Complete final cleaning requirements, including touchup painting. <br />6. Touch up and otherwise repair and restore marred exposed finishes to eliminate visual defects. <br />7. Submit a written request for inspection for Substantial Completion. On receipt of request, Designer will <br />either proceed with inspection or notify Contractor of unfulfilled requirements. <br />8. Reinspection: Request reinspection when the Work identified in previous inspections as incomplete is <br />completed or corrected. <br />9. Results of completed inspection will form the basis of requirements for Final Completion. <br />B. Final Completion: Before requesting final inspection for determining date of Final Completion, complete the <br />following: <br />1. Submit certified copy of Designer's Substantial Completion inspection list of items to be completed or <br />corrected (punch list). The certified copy of the list shall state that each item has been completed or <br />otherwise resolved for acceptance. <br />2. Instruct Owner's personnel in operation, adjustment, and maintenance of products, equipment, and <br />systems. Submit documentation of training. <br />3. Inspection: Submit a written request for final inspection for acceptance. On receipt of request, <br />Designer will either proceed with inspection or notify Contractor of unfulfilled requirements. <br />4. Reinspection: Request reinspection when the Work identified in previous inspections as incomplete is <br />completed or corrected. <br />C. Cleaning: This Contractor shall provide all systems and equipment in a new and clean condition. <br />1. Clean all items furnished and installed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. <br />2. Provide instruction to Owner in proper cleaning of all items provided as part of this Division. <br />3.
