The system shall <br />consist of multiple evaporators using PID control, REFNET'M joints and headers, a two - <br />pipe refrigeration distribution system and Daikin VRV" condenser unit. The condenser <br />shall be a direct expansion (DX), air - cooled heat pump, multi -zone air- conditioning sys- <br />tem with variable speed inverter driven compressors using R-41 OA refrigerant. The <br />condensing unit may connect an indoor evaporator capacity up to 200% of the condens- <br />ing unit capacity. All zones are each capable of operating separately with individual <br />temperature control. <br />The Daikin condensing unit shall be interconnected to indoor unit models FXFQ, FXHQ, <br />FXMQ, FXLQ, FXNQ, FXTQ, FXDQ, FXZQ, FXAQ and FXMQ -MF, and shall range in <br />capacity from 7,500 Btu /h to 96,000 Btu /h in accordance with Daikin's engineering data <br />book detailing each available indoor unit. The indoor units shall be connected to the <br />condensing unit utilizing Daikin's REFNET" specified piping joints and headers to en- <br />sure correct refrigerant flow and balancing. T style joints are not acceptable for a varia- <br />ble refrigerant system. <br />2 <br />3 Operation of the system shall permit either cooling or heating of all of the indoor units <br />simultaneously. Each indoor unit or group of indoor units shall be able to provide set <br />temperature independently via a local remote controller, an Intelligent Manager Control- <br />ler or a BMS interface. <br />4 <br />The RXYQ condensing unit model numbers and the associated number of connectable indoor <br />units per RXYQ condensing unit is indicated in the following table.
