DocuSign Envelope ID: 9826C043- 4C32- 49CD- A4CC- DC28ABAB7CE7 <br />SECTION 239116 — NON -METAL DUCTS <br />Note: Fabric duct system to be furnished complete with all accessories as required for a complete in- <br />stallation — to include but not limited to: factory designed air outlet devices (slots / holes), hanging <br />hardware and devices, zipper systems, etc...). Fabric duct system to be furnished by DuctSox, Eu- <br />roAire, or FlexAire. <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: <br />A. Extent of non -metal ductwork is indicated on drawings and by requirements of this section. <br />B. Types of non -metal ductwork required for this project include the following: <br />1. Textile Air Dispersion Products. <br />1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br />A. Building Codes and Standards: <br />1. Product must be Classified by Underwriter's Laboratories in accordance with the 25/50 flame <br />spread / smoke developed requirements of NFPA 90 -A and UL 2518. Also Classified by UL -C <br />(Canada) S102.2, BS 5867 Part 2, 1980; GB8624 -2006. <br />2. All product sections must be labeled with the logo and classification marking of Underwriter's <br />Laboratories. <br />B. Design & Quality Control <br />1. Manufacturer must have documented design support information including duct sizing; vent, <br />orifice, and /or nozzle location; vent, orifice, and /or nozzle sizing; length; and suspension. Pa- <br />rameters for design, including maximum air temperature, velocity, pressure and textile per- <br />meability, shall be considered and documented. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS: <br />A. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's specifications on materials and manufactured products used for <br />work of this section. <br />B. Building Code Data: Submit UL file number under which product is Classified by Underwriter's Labora- <br />tories for both NFPA 90 -A and UL 2518. <br />C. Provide detailed drawings confirming configuration of Fabric Tensioning System (components, sup- <br />port locations, segment lengths) and Textile Dispersion System (diameter, lengths, airflow, pressure, <br />and textile permeability). <br />D. Provide detailed installation instructions for components to be installed. <br />E. Provide warranty and maintenance documentation. <br />1.4 WARRANTY: <br />A. Manufacturer must provide a 15 Year Product Warranty for products supplied for the fabric portion of <br />this system as well as a Design and Performance Warranty. <br />1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING: <br />A. Protect textile air dispersion system and SkeleCore FTS components from damage during shipping, <br />storage, and handling. <br />B. Where possible, store products inside and protect from weather. Where necessary to store outside, <br />store above grade and enclose with a vented waterproof wrapping. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MANUFACTURER: <br />Subject to compliance with requirements, choose one of the following: <br />A. SkeleCore FTS (Fabric Tensioning System): Air diffusers shall be constructed with internal tensioning <br />frame. <br />1. System shall cylindrically tension textile along the entire length of textile duct, including all fit - <br />tings(crosses, elbows, reducers and tees). <br />2. Tensioning system shall include full 360 degree tensioning and intermediate rings with quick <br />connection spacer tubes concealed inside the fabric system. <br />3. Interior structure to include multiple mechanically adjustable tension devices. To provide <br />proper textile tensioning, structural and textile system shall be configured in segments of no <br />more than 45 feet. <br />4. Textile components supported solely by metal cylindrical rings. <br />5.
