BOCC Communications Infrastructure Recommendations <br />The County Commissioners increasingly rely on computing and communications technologies <br />to conduct County business. The technologies they use have been allocated over time by the <br />County, or selected and funded by the Commissioners themselves. Additional and/or enhanced <br />technologies have recently become available that may improve the efficiency and effectiveness <br />with which Commissioners may communicate among themselves, with staff, and with their <br />constituents. Pursuant to discussions with the Chair and Vice Chair, the Manager, and the <br />Clerk, the County's Chief Information Officer has worked with the Purchasing Department to <br />develop a recommended set of technologies to allow Commissioners to communicate more <br />effectively. The accompanying report provides details on these technologies. <br />b. Commissioner Roles on Boards and Commissions and Process for <br />Selection of ChairsNice Chairs for Boards and Commissions <br />On April 20, 2004, the BOCC voted to amend the Orange County Volunteer Resolution <br />Appointment and Orientation Process, Sections 6 and 7.
