We certified 48 <br />employers in 2015 and 55 in 2016. In 2017, we certified 42 new employers and re- <br />certifying 41 employers from our 2015 roster. Our employers are for- profit and nonprofit <br />businesses and organizations. Led by Orange County government, all municipalities <br />and other public employers in the County are certified as living wage employers, <br />including the Towns of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough, both public school <br />systems, OWASA, and Orange County ABC. <br />e) Other Pertinent Agency Information (Ex.. Has the agency experienced any major changes in <br />the past year? is there a new Executive Director? Are there new initiatives ?) <br />As of January 2018, OCLW has certified 141 living wage employers who have <br />cumulatively raised wages by $641,475. In the fall of 2017 we hired a part -time <br />Certification Coordinator to ensure a steady stream of employer contacts and new <br />certifications.. Our Certification Coordinator, Rachel Mehalek, will help launch our <br />Aspiring Employer program, a new effort with six to eight employers who do not yet <br />qualify for certification but want to raise compensation to meet our wage criteria. <br />"Aspiring employers" will partner with OCLW and our living- wage- certified employers to <br />develop wage- raising strategies. <br />0 Schedule of Positions (For Entire Agency) <br />• Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff will be noted as 1.00; half time as .50; quarter time as .25, etc. <br />• Calculate a Full Time Equivalent for all recorded volunteer hours using the following: <br />Total Volunteer Hours = Volunteer FTE <br />2,080 <br /># of FTE - Full -Time Paid Positions: <br /># of FTE - Paid Part -Time Positions: .25* <br /># of Volunteers: 11 # of FTE - Volunteers: 1.75 <br />"Cur Certification Coordinator position is currently working quarter -time, but we look to increase her hours in FY 2017- <br />2018 Q31Q4, and again in FY 2018-2019.
