Our past and ongoing collaborative relationships with numerous <br />organizations, to ensure necessary services for our clients, include local law enforcement <br />agencies, the District Attorney's Office, the Orange County Department of Social Services <br />(DSS), Inter -Faith Council (IFC), Legal Aid of North Carolina, UNC Hospital's Beacon Child <br />and Family Program, the Orange County Rape Crisis Center, Freedom House, UNC Office <br />of the Dean of Students, UNC School of Law's Domestic Violence Advocacy Project <br />(DVAP) and clinic, El Centro Hispano, El Futuro, NC Coalition Against Domestic Violence <br />(NCCADV), PORCH, and domestic violence agencies in neighboring counties. <br />• Over the past 4.5 years, Compass Center has successfully reinstituted the Orange <br />County Domestic Violence Task Force. This is based on the effective coordinated <br />community response model of engagement and problem solving between agencies <br />that interact with victims of domestic violence.
