She also has led summer camps and afterschool clubs for <br />more than 12 years. Recently Ms. Cornette has been teaching <br />internationally, and received a Fulbright Scholarship to work with <br />refugees in Greece next year. Ms. Cornette is one of the founders of <br />Scroggs' free afterschool STEAM enrichment clubs, creating <br />equitably accessible afterschool programs for all Scroggs students. <br />Are you hiring <br />multicultural artists <br />with the requested <br />funds from this <br />grant? <br />How will the <br />project /program be <br />publicized and <br />promoted to reach <br />intended <br />participants? <br />With more than 30 years of teaching experience, Sheila Fleming is <br />currently the music teacher at Scroggs. She has been named <br />"Teacher of the Year" multiple times during her tenure in the CHCCS <br />District. Sheila also shares her passion for creative musical <br />expression through summer camps and afterschool programs. <br />No <br />In early fall and early spring, Scroggs teachers and staff will discuss <br />this opportunity with underserved students and their parents to <br />facilitate enrollment. The clubs will then be advertised school -wide by <br />teachers, the Scroggs Student Council (comprised of fourth and fifth <br />graders), and the Scroggs PTA to fill remaining spots. Paper flyers <br />and e- newsletters will both be utilized to reach as many families as <br />possible. <br />
