A
result of these efforts during our most recent call was a very popular
exhibit by the African American Quilt Circle. Additional artists are
invited to apply for consideration and submit an artist statement and
photographs of their work. A jury decides who is selected for the
season.
A minimum of 113 artists of various ethnic, cultural and artistic
backgrounds are highlighted in an eleven month period. Many Art
Walk exhibits are shared between more than one artist and venues
often have additional artwork on display and available for purchase,
likely doubling the number of artists receiving exposure through this
program.
Are you hiring No
multicultural artists
with the requested
funds from this
grant?
How will the We utilize paid and free advertising via radio (National Public
project /program be Radio /WUNC, WHUP, WCOM), print (News and Observer, The Indy,
publicized and News of Orange, Durham Herald, brochures) and social media.
