6 <br />A Resolution Referring the <br />Shaping Orange County's Future Provisional Report to <br />Relevant County Advisory Boards <br />WHEREAS, in May of this year the Shaping Orange County's Future Task Force transmitted its <br />Provisional Report to'the elected boards of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Orange <br />County, and <br />WHEREAS, on August 28, 2000, the Orange County Board of Commissioners held a public <br />hearing on the Provisional Report, and <br />WHEREAS, an Assembly of Governments meeting has been scheduled for January 29, 2001 to <br />discuss the Task Force report: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br />That the Orange County Board of Commissioners refers the Task Force Provisional Report to the <br />attached list of County advisory boards for their review and comment. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED <br />That the listed advisory boards consider, as soon as possible, whether sufficient time exists for <br />review and comment to be completed prior to January 16, 2001, examine the possibility of <br />expeditiously addressing this subject with other participating boards or commissions, and advise <br />the Board of Commissioners as soon as possible of their reaction as to the appropriateness of <br />this deadline. <br />This, the 21~ day of November, 2000. <br />Moses Carey, Jr. <br />Chair, Board of Commissioners <br />ATTEST: <br />Beverly Blythe <br />Clerk to the Board <br />
