ARTICLE 4. Penalties. <br />A. Any violation of the provisions of this ordiance shall <br />constitute a misdemeanor, punishable upon conviction by <br />a fine not to exceed $50.00 or imprisonment not to <br />exceed thirty days, as provided by N. C. General statute <br />section 14 -4. Any such violation may be enjoined, <br />restrained, or abated as provided by N. C. General <br />Statute section 153A- 123(d). and 153A- 123(e). <br />B. If any section, subdivision, clause or provision of this <br />ordinance shall be adjudged invalid, such adjudication <br />shall apply only to such section, subdivision, clause, <br />or provision so adjudged, and the remainder of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed valid and effective. <br />C. All Ordinances and clauses of Ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are repealed on the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. The Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE <br />PROVIDING FOR THE CONSERVATION OF WATER DURING A WATER <br />SHORTAGE, AND RESTRICTING THE USE OF WATER DURING MORE <br />SEVERE SHORTAGES" and as amended, is repealed on the <br />effective date of this Ordinance. The adoption of this <br />Ordinance,however, shall not affect nor prevent any <br />pending or future prosecution of, or action to abate or <br />enjoin, an existing violation of said Ordinance. <br />D. This Ordinance shall become effective when adopted. <br />Adopted this the 10th day of JULY, 1986. <br />
