Estes Hills is
a neighborhood school in the truest sense, as many students from
the surrounding homes walk or bike to school every day. In the
current academic year (2017- 2018), Estes Hills Elementary serves 505
children from kindergarten through fifth grade. The school has 22
traditional classrooms, and offers programs in Exceptional
Education, Gifted Education, Head Start pre - school, and English as a
Second Language. Our student body is fairly evenly divided along
gender lines (54% Male / 46% Female), and has a diverse racial
composition: White (56 0/6), Hispanic (14 1/6), African American (11 0/6),
Asian (110/6), American Indian (0.4 1/6), and Multi - Racial (7 0/6).
During FY18 -19, will
your organization
receive operational
support funding from
the North Carolina
Arts Council or the
North Carolina
Department of
Natural and Cultural
Resources?
Organization's EIN
Organization
Website
Authorizing Official's
Name
Authorizing Official's
Title
Authorizing Official's
Phone
Estes Hills has 39 classroom teachers; 100% are licensed, 49% have
advanced degrees, and 60% have over 10 years of teaching
experience. Our school offers Art and Music instruction in
accordance with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for
elementary school students, with a full -time professional in each
"specials" discipline: Art, Music, French, and Physical Education
(which incorporates Dance).
The mission of the Estes Hills PTA is to serve the whole community
of the school - the students, teachers, staff and families - by
providing necessary resources to support the highest quality
educational environment possible. The PTA is comprised of parent
volunteers (Executive Board is 83% female, 100% White), and seeks
to promote the cultural arts in education by bringing professional
artists to perform at our school.
560340503
https: // sites .google.com /a /chccs.kl 2.nc.us /test -pta- template /home
Shannon Grabowski
PTA President (2017 -18, 2018 -19)
919 - 593 -5013
