Chapter 19A its a law which <br />provides a civil remedy for cruelty to animals. The Board of Health has revi wed this <br />nomination and recommended forwarding the nomination of Dean Edwards~o the Board of <br />Commissioners for appointment. <br />Mr. Edwards is an employee of the Animal Protection Society and has recei~ed special training <br />in this area as detailed in Ms. Sanford's letter. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The investigator serves as a volunteer, at no salary dust to the county. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners re- <br />appoint Dean Edwards as aCounty-Appointed Animal Cruelty Investigator for 2000-2001. <br />
