Expect ESL students <br />to learn to read and write in English. <br />• Remove transportation and babysitting <br />barriers <br />5. Bridging the Gap <br />■ Close the achievement gap between low- income <br />and other students <br />■ Disparity between Chapel Hill — Carrboro City <br />Schools and Orange County Schools Systems <br />6. Community Planning and Transportation <br />• Involvement in before and after school activities <br />difficult due to lack of transportation <br />• Geographical and social isolation away from <br />schools, libraries, and other services <br />• Change policy on children having to change <br />schools because of homelessness, job change, <br />foster parents, etc. <br />• Maintain Child Stability <br />7.
