Orange County Government PROJECT ABSTRACT Project /Activity Title: Orange County Community Assessment Description of Project / Activity, Include overall goal, specific objectives, and major strategies. To identify individual, family, and community assets, needs, and highlight gaps and opportunities , and to review and evaluate current and f flare priorities for the facilitation of planning, policy development, resource allorrtion and investment. • What are the specific, measurable outcome(s) for this project? What is the evaluation plan? To Conduct a general population survey of 600 citizens, 13 focus groups of professionals and consumers, and 10 key leader interviews to deterrrtine the needs of children, families, and individuals as well as the strengths, weaknesses and gaps in the human service systenn. Once the information is reported, we will work with other funders in the County to develop priorities for funding human service issues identified. Funded services and programs will be evaluated to determine if they are effective in changing behaviors, reducing waiting lists, and improving the overall functioning capacities of farnilies.
