The meeting was called to order by Co -Chair Thompson <br />at 5:40 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Robin Barnhill; Marvin Block; Mary Bowe; Melvin Hurston; Lois Kinzie (representing <br />Partnership for Young Children, sitting in for Sue Russell); David Thompson; Rosetta Wash; <br />Rebecca Young. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Barry Jacobs (emailed; sends his regrets; has Board of County <br />Commissioners work session); Sue Russell; Louise Echols;Pat Vandiviere (called, is giving 91st <br />birthday party for close friend; this had been planned for one year; is very sorry, and this should <br />he the only conflict for a while.) <br />FAFF PRESENT: Corinthia Barber; Sharron Hinton; Nancy Paciga. <br />STAFF ABSENT: None <br />1. Establishment of Quorum — Co -Chair Thompson announced that with 8 out of 12 <br />members present, there was a quorum. <br />2. Additions or Changes to the Agenda — <br />Co -Chair Thompson announced that Commissioner Barry Jacobs would like to add the following to <br />the agenda: 5c: Method and date of presentation of 2001 Forum Report: further discussion and <br />Commissioner Jacobs' recommnendation about the presentation of the 2001 Forum Report to the <br />Board of County Commissioners. (Refer to 5c, below.) <br />3. Welcome — New Member, Betty B. Matthews, representing the Cooperative Extension Service, <br />was appointed by the Board of County Commissioners on February 5, 2002. She was welcomed by <br />Co -Chair Thompson and the other members. <br />4. Member Comments and Updates - <br />a. All Members' Comments Co -Chair Thompson asked the members to go around the <br />room and introduce themselves and give a short update of their organization's activities, and, if they <br />are serving "At- Large," to give a few comments, which they did.
