from higher intensity to the west and provides a transition between <br />higher intensity to the north and the Rural Buffer to the south. <br />A possible density range for areas classified as intermediate <br />intensity might be development on lots two -to -three acres in size. <br />Low Intensity Areas: Lie in the central and southern part of the <br />study area adjacent to Duke Forest, the Strayhorn farm, New Hope <br />Church Road, and the Rural Buffer area to the southwest, south, and <br />southeast. A possible density in the low intensity area could be <br />development on lots of four acres and larger. <br />A conceptual map depicting the above - referenced resource and <br />land use intensity categories is being prepared for the November 16 <br />meeting. The suggested densities for the three land use intensity <br />categories are based solely on general discussion at the November <br />1 and 9 meetings of the Preliminary Design Subcommittee and do not <br />necessarily reflect consensus on the part of that group. <br />4 <br />
