meeting we have. She added that we've got to have consensus on the
map we send to the implementation subcommittee to come up with
incentives that will promote less dense development. Bob Strayhorn
said he thought most everyone could agree to doing development in
a better way without taking anything away from people. He felt
that trying to make things too restrictive and protect everything
on the map would result in spending half the time in the
courthouse.
Dean Zehnder said he thought we had general agreement on things and
that rather than continuing to redefine sharp divisions between
individual plots of land, we needed to send them forward to the
implementation subcommittee. There was general consensus on this.
PROPOSED SCHEDULE REVISIONS
Verla Insko indicated it would not be possible to make the February
public hearing. She also asked if there was agreement on the mission
(vision ?) statement and value statement and agreement in principle
on the items discussed at this meeting.
COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE
Dan Teichman asked what was needed for the proposed open house.
Bell indicated that a final product was not necessary but maps,
text, handouts, etc. would be needed. He also asked about how much
lead time was needed to inform the community. Bell indicated two -
and -a -half to three weeks was reasonable.
