object to most strongly to and possibly invalidate whole proposal.
Gene: Recommend approach followed tonight, agree upon what we can
and then move on to the more difficult issues.
Lee: Have no objection to going through in a methodical fashion
and if this group can craft into something more "digestible," but
still achieves purpose, happy to have us do that. But don't want
us to go forward with this as a "flakey idea that Lee has, but we
don't really want you to consider."
Elio: Want to recommend both, but separate.
Lee: No problem with that.
Elio: Can we do that (to Gene), extract this and make a
recommendation and make it two parts, includes all the other items
we have discussed with some of the adjustments / f lexibi 1 ity numbers.
And then add this recommendation. So it does not appear that f irst
part is more strongly recommended than second, but recommended
separately. Possibility is that first part will pass and second
will not.
Lee: Would much rather that this group work on making this so
that we think it will pass, play with the numbers, be creative
about the concept, come up with a different way to achieve the
concept and so on.
Dan: Will we meet again before full Planning Group meeting? If
so, we need to invite Bob Strayhorn.
Next Meeting: Thursday, February 8 at 7:30 at Planning Department.
Adjournment: 9:30 PM.
13
