DETENTION CENTER ExPERIENCE <br />QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE <br />Orange County Justice Expansion <br />New Construction: <br />The new Courthouse consists of a 3- story, 45,000sf addition for the new sheriff's <br />department offices, clerk of court's offices and new court rooms. HVAC systems <br />include new geothermal well field ground loops used for mechanical system <br />heating and cooling, DDC controls and a mechanical mezzanine for HVAC units. <br />This project also contains a fully sprinkled facility with complete fire alarm and <br />security systems. The construction of the new facility took eighteen (18 months) <br />from Notice to Proceed <br />Renovations: <br />Renovations of the existing courthouse consist of demolition and upfit of the <br />30,000sf existing courthouse. HVAC systems were removed and replaced with <br />new HVAC units. New ductwork and new mechanical piping including future tie - <br />ins for the geothermal well loops were installed for future HVAC unit additions. <br />Updated life safety of the facility included new fire alarm systems and emergency <br />lighting. Restrooms were demolished and upfitted with new finishes, plumbing <br />and electrical fixtures. The newly <br />�F renovated courthouse is home for <br />1< district attorneys' offices and county <br />_ s government offices. <br />_ �' ■ a is Sitework: <br />The site of approximately 5 acres <br />included new parking areas for <br />county employees, 1/2 mile paved <br />_ river walk along the Eno River, 1/4 mile <br />walking trails (Chapel Hill gravel) <br />along the Eno River and a 3,000sf <br />covered open air farmer's market which received a preservation award from the <br />Town of Hillsborough's historical society.
