0 4.5.c Develop and customize outreach materials for government decision makers. - <br />The Orange County TDM Coordinator will develop outreach materials and presentations <br />tailored to the Board of Orange County Commissioners (BOCC), and will deliver them as <br />part of their Public Relations work under Top Task #4. They will leverage existing <br />opportunities to interact with the Board, such as the annual Orange County Sustainability <br />and Environmental Responsibility Goal update. <br />• Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br />• 2 TDM presentations or formal information items created and delivered <br />to elected officials. <br />0 4.5.d Develop and customize outreach materials for business decision makers. - <br />The Orange County TDM Coordinator will develop outreach materials and presentations <br />tailored to the Hillsborough business community, and will deliver them as part of their <br />Public Relations work under Top Task #4. They will leverage existing opportunities to <br />interact with these businesses, such as the regular events run by the Hillsborough / <br />Orange County Chamber of Commerce. <br />■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br />• Meetings with all top 5 businesses as well as Durham Tech's Orange <br />County Campus and UNC Health Care - Hillsborough Campus <br />o Host an annual Hillsborough - Orange County Chamber of <br />Commerce Training I „n ^h °„r„ ^ thFOUgh the 14611619OFeUgh , <br />QFange County Charnber Of G9MMeFGe that is tailored to <br />Hillsborough business and explains how to promote alternative <br />commuting with their organization. <br />0 5.2.c Conduct individualized employer outreach to targeted employers. - The <br />Orange County TDM Coordinator will establish a list of the top five employers in <br />Hillsborough and will establish relationships with them that will allow for direct or indirect <br />communication with their employees. With this input, outreach will be targeted for the <br />needs and opportunities of those employees in collaboration with local partners. <br />■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br />• Customized content will be created for each of the top 5 employers as <br />well as Durham Tech's Orange County Campus and UNC Health Care - <br />Hillsborough Campus. <br />0 5.2.a Increase marketing, promotion, and outreach to target areas. - The Coordinator <br />will use data from Orange County's 2015 and 2017 regional Commuter Surveys to create <br />campaigns targeted towards the stated commuter patterns and interests of Orange <br />County employees. <br />■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br />• Data from the user surveys will be posted on the County TDM website <br />and referenced in marketing materials to show relevance to Orange <br />County staff. <br />• Input from Chamber of Commerce will be followed to customize targeted <br />materials and information for their members. <br />0 5.6.a Encourage students of driving age to use TDM services, especially during <br />peak hours. — The Orange County TDM Coordinator will coordinate messaging with <br />TDM Coordinators at UNC - Chapel Hill and Wake Tech to reach out to student <br />commuters to publicize new and existing transit and ride - sharing options. Proposed <br />Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br />• Participate in the "Be The Change" Campaign with the university <br />partners, to promote alternative commute modes to the students at <br />Durham Tech Orange Campus. <br />Triangle J <br />Council of Governments <br />13 <br />
