The Triangle J Area Agenry on Aging Ombudsman
Program is committed to providing $950.00 toward this training program with funds to be
administered by the Orange County Department on Aging. I commend you and Carol Woods for
your efforts to improve the quality of care and quality of life for long terra cart residents in Orange
County. As you arc aware, nursing assistants provide the most hands-on care, and typically receive
the least amount of training and support. Your training on basic caregiving techniques and lifeskills
will, no doubt, serve to decrease the incidence of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation in Orange
County facilities.
I look forward to working with you and the nursing assistants in your program.
Sincerely,
Jill V.
