DocuSign Envelope ID: 7796CD94- 342E- 40D0- B7C3- A2B604F926B4 <br />ORANGE COUNTY Y Department of Solid Waste Management <br />Collection will be provided in variable size organics carts and/or dumpsters, with the volume, collection <br />frequency and container type based on the individual needs of the multi -unit complex, This service is to <br />be arranged by the property manager and owner in conjunction with the County and the Contractor. <br />Indoor Organic Waste Pails will be provided upon request and to new multi -unit housing service units. To <br />limit contamination and to encourage participation, individual indoor pails shall be delivered upon <br />request and a rigorous tenant educational and participation protocol developed to limit contamination. <br />In addition to the initial and on -going education and outreach components required in Section 3, multi- <br />unit education should include an initial door-to-door outreach program. Further details will be a <br />negotiated activity with the successful Contractor. <br />11. CONTRACTOR EMPLOYEES AND LABOR <br />Contractor's employees shall be competent, reliable and able to empty organic waste containers with or <br />without assistance of the vehicle, and safely and efficiently clean the container after collection. <br />Contractor shall have adequate labor, facilities, and equipment and inventory to handle the quantity of <br />participants as proposed in this contract. The Contractor shall supply all collection receptacles and <br />transportation equipment, Receptacles shall be in suitable condition and appearance at all times and <br />shall be placed at the same location at the site each time following collection. <br />12. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS, FORMAT AND CONTENT <br />Submitted proposal must follow the following order and format: <br />12.1 Proposal Submittal <br />12.1.1 Introduction <br />Contractors' company background, contact information and include signature and contact <br />information of the individual authorized to bind the proposal contractually. Contractor must <br />be a 'bona fide corporation authorized to do business in the State of NC. <br />12.1.2 Statement of Understandingof Services <br />Describe understanding of services being sought by the County; include expansion years as <br />well as a description of the Scope of Work. <br />12.1.3 Project Personnel <br />Include names and titles and relevant experience of personnel responsible for executing the <br />contract, to include the Project Manager, Supervisors, drivers, and any related customer <br />service or education and outreach personnel. <br />12.1.4 Materials Accepted <br />Provide a detailed list, with pictures, of items accepted and not accepted as part of the <br />collection program. <br />12.1.5 Vehicles, Carts and Dumpsters <br />Provide detailed description of the type of vehicles and equipment, such as carts and <br />dumpsters, to be involved in the project, and the number of total resources available to <br />devote to the project when it expands. Include year, 'brand, model, capacity and brand of <br />carts and include all back -up capabilities. <br />12.1.5 Subcontractors <br />20 <br />RFP No. 5247 <br />
