Affordable Housing Advisory Board <br />300 West Tryon Street Room 250 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Minutes of Tuesday, March 14, 2017 <br />Members Present: Patsy Barbee, Chair; Arthur Sprinczeles, Vice Chair, Josh Brown, Noah Oswald, N.V. <br />Parlikad, Eleanor Kinnaird <br />Excused Absence: Tammy Jacobs, Daniel Bullock, Nannie Richmond <br />Unexcused Absence: Adrian Moreno, Alex Nickodem <br />Staff Present: Annette Moore, Interim Director, Renee Holmes, Housing Program Coordinator and <br />Angela Rockett, Administrative Assistant <br />Guest: Keith Cook <br />Welcome /Introduction <br />Patsy Barbee, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6: 13 p.m. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Motion to approve the minutes by Arthur Sprinczeles, seconded by Noah Oswald and the minutes was <br />approved unanimously. <br />Department Report /County Report <br />Long Term Housing Affordability Policy <br />Annette Moore shared that the BOCC passed the Long Term Housing Affordability Policy. One of the <br />changes that were being considered was the 99 year time limit. The BOCC did not change that, but <br />they made some exceptions in certain instances they might lessen the time but it has to meet the <br />exceptions. <br />Request for Proposal Status Update <br />The RFP for bond money and county owned property is on the street. There were two meetings with <br />potential bidders. One meeting was in Hillsborough and the other one in Chapel Hill and they were <br />both well attended. The Affordable Housing Coalition made a request to extend the deadline to <br />another 30 days. This will be put on the BOCC agenda for March 21, 2017. <br />Outside Agency Funds Requests <br />Ms. Moore explained the process for Outside Agency Funds Requests. There were 60 proposals that <br />were split between some of the advisory boards. Ms. Moore explained the process of ranking and <br />scoring the Outside Agency Funds Request. The AHAB board agreed to rank and score the requests as <br />a group. The AHAB will meet on Monday, March 20, 2017 in Hillsborough at the Housing, Human <br />Rights and Community Development office to compile the scores. <br />
