The project is an in -depth review of the 20 -mile <br />portion of NC 54 from Carrboro to Graham. For more information about <br />the project as a whole, please visit www.nc54west.com. There are tools <br />on the web site that can be used to provide input on the corridor for <br />those who cannot attend any of the public meetings. <br />Newsletter: NC 54 West Corridor Study <br />The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), the budget for the <br />BGMPO, has been drafted. The budget will be available for public review <br />and comment until March 9, 2018. The DRAFT UPWP can be found at <br />this link: DRAFT UPWP <br />The Program of Projects (POP) is the list of projects programmed in <br />the Burlington Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization's - <br />Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) proposed by <br />the Link Transit System to be funded from the area's Federal Transit <br />Administration (FTA) Section 5307 during the current and future federal <br />fiscal year(s). In some cases, the POP also includes flexible federal <br />highway funds, such as Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ). <br />Link Transit projects proposed in this POP only include federal and local <br />funds. Link Transit began operations in June of 2016 and will begin to <br />utilize the Section 5307 grant for operations, planning and capital in <br />2018 and future federal fiscal year(s). <br />The Burlington Graham MPO Transportation Improvement Program <br />(TIP) process is used to satisfy the public participation process of the <br />Program of Projects (POP) that is required in U.S.C. Section 5307.
