Planning and projections for 2018... <br />Short Range Transit Planning & Outreach: <br />Nelson- Nygaard, in conjunction with OCPT staff, will develop a 10 -year plan that <br />illustrates how OCPT could address future growth scenarios. <br />The plan will match the horizon for both Go Triangle and the Wake County Bus <br />Plan. The plan will consider strategic issues such as regional coordination and <br />transit initiatives, future development, and light rail integration. Also being <br />developed, will be an implementation plan to prioritize service improvements <br />and identify reasonable stages of implementation over the next 10 years and <br />beyond. Recommendations will consider potential implications on staffing, <br />vehicle fleet, capital needs, and state and federal funding. <br />Public meetings will be held to discuss the shared needs of OCPT. Consultant <br />group, Nelson- Nygaard will coordinate and integrate the results of any internal <br />outreach efforts with the community.
