18 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Bonnie Hammersley said the karate agency did not score well, but there may be an <br />opportunity to participate in youth enhancement services with DSS. She said Orange County <br />will reimburse the agency if any DSS kids want to participate. <br />Chair Dorosin said it seems like there are some questions about the scoring, and if <br />agencies are consistently scoring low, then staff may want to revisit if these agencies should <br />receive any funds at all. He said the County’s needs evolve over time, and maybe some of <br />these agencies’ services no longer match the County’s needs and should not be funded at all. <br />Bonnie Hammersley said the agencies need to be doing what is good for Orange <br />County, instead of the other way around. <br />Commissioner Marcoplos referred to the advisory board assignment page, and said <br />there is a point person at the top, and asked if this same person attends all of the meetings and <br />witnesses all of the evaluations. <br />Bonnie Hammersley said yes, and the Department Head is not scoring, but rather <br />assisting the advisory board that is reviewing, etc.
