Through successful management of the County's <br />program and proactive attention to environmental impacts and protection of nearby residents, the County has <br />developed an excellent relationship with the Virginia DEQ, and has resulted in significant cost savings. Services <br />have included: <br />• Development of the groundwater monitoring programs for all five landfills <br />• Alternate source demonstrations for several facilities and constituents <br />• Nature and extent studies <br />• Assessment of corrective measures, and development of corrective action plans <br />• Strategically placed active remediation system - successful.
