Visitor s Bureau <br />Sister cities <br />Carrboro Parks & Rec <br />What do you see as the responsibilities of this board, and what do you hope to <br />accomplish if appointed? <br />Carry out the directives of the elected gov ts and provide management oversight to the <br />organization. <br />What is OWASA's role in growth/development issues? <br />OWASA s role is to follow the lead of the elected governing boards in Orange County. OWASA <br />provides leadership and direction, expertise, and recommendations but policy decisions must be <br />approved by the gov ts. Parameters for growth and development are already established. <br />OWASA s role is to comply with those parameters. <br />Any proposals that come before the Board must be measured against the Goals and Priorities in determining the <br />suitability for approval. <br />29
