I assist a sister coalition in Alamance County in the same way. <br />Past Service on Orange County Advisory Boards: <br />None <br />Supplemental Questions: <br />Alcoholic Beverage Control Board <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />I retired from the Chapel Hill Police Department after 28 years of service. In that capacity, I <br />spend a considerable amount of time in the enforcement of alcohol laws. Since retiring I have <br />been involved with three community coalitions that worked on issues relating to underage <br />drinking. My work in this area has included close association with local law enforcement <br />agencies. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I have worked with the ABC Board for a number of years, both as a law enforcement officers, as <br />well as a community member. I realize the board works closely with law enforcement agencies, <br />as well as community members in supporting responsible alcohol sales and possession. I am <br />interested in continuing my involvement with these initiatives and supporting the role of the ABC <br />Board as part of this goal. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />The only possible perceived conflict might be I currently work with a coalition that has received <br />ABC Board grant funding. However, to the best of my knowledge, any compensation I have <br />received does not come from these grant funds. <br />7
