<br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The FY 2017-18 budget included an appropriation of $30,000 from Article <br />46 sales tax proceeds to host this event. <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br />this item: <br />• GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary <br />for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their <br />dependents. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br />1) Review, amend as necessary, and approve the suggested topics outlined above and the <br />panelists for each hour of the four-hour radio broadcast on economic development, and <br />identify other outside panelists as needed; and <br />2) Determine BOCC members’ roles as panelist participants. <br /> <br />3
