CTC Proposal to Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough <br />April 17, 2018 <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CTC will track pole attachment applications, the status of make-ready work reported by the pole <br />owners, payments, and final licensing issued. <br />D. Demarcation Design <br />CTC will prepare detailed designs for the building entry and demarcation for up to 19 fiber <br />termination points. We will work with County staff to determine optimal termination points, <br />and will survey and document the inside plant pathway from each termination point to the <br />point of building ingress. Where necessitated by functional requirements for network resiliency, <br />this will include identifying physically diverse entry points and inside plant pathways. <br />Our designs will detail the specifications for any applicable termination panel hardware, cable <br />management, conduit pathway (including requirements for rigid metallic conduit, firestopping, <br />and core drilling), and related workmanship. <br />E. Construction Management <br />CTC will serve as the owner’s representative overseeing the performance of the selected fiber <br />construction Contractor to the extent needed to augment the County’s own project manager <br />and/or inspectors. Construction management activities will be dependent on the selected <br />construction vendor’s County-approved schedule and scope of work. To provide the County <br />with a potential timeline for our services, we a construction and acceptance schedule of <br />approximately 29 weeks. <br />CTC will provide the following services during construction management. <br /> <br />• Attend a project kick-off meeting, and facilitate regular project status conference calls <br />with the Contractor and County and City. <br />• Review and approve project timelines for engineering and construction prepared by the <br />Contractor <br />• Review Contractor construction management and safety plans <br />• Develop quality assurance inspection checklists to facilitate construction oversight <br />• Perform onsite inspection during construction for safety. workmanship and adherence to <br />design specifications <br />• Perform X NUMBER of onsite post-construction inspection for compliance with the <br />approved designs and workmanship, to include a detailed review of accuracy and <br />completeness for a sampling of as-built documentation provided by the Contractor; this <br />may include verifying <br />24
