CTC Proposal to Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough <br />April 17, 2018 <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CTC shall provide preliminary engineering designs for County and Town review and approval. <br />These designs typically include: <br />• Running line of fiber and conduit/aerial strand <br />• Road names <br />• Railroads and crossings <br />• Fixed markers/significant landmarks (e.g., fire hydrants, valves, poles) <br />• Environmental protected areas (e.g., wetlands, bodies of water) <br />• Flood plains <br />• Easements <br />• Rights-of-way <br />• Fiber cable type and placement <br />• Any applicable public utilities or assets <br />• Any applicable private utilities or assets <br />• Termination points <br />• Fiber entry and installation, as applicable <br />CTC will prepare complete engineering work documents for the pathway design (aerial and <br />underground), cable design specification, and cost estimates, to include: <br />• Engineering detail sheets/“typicals” (i.e., the standard set of required construction <br />parameters, covering details such as methods for utility pole attachment, depth of <br />conduit placement, and type of hand-hole specifications, which will accompany all <br />engineering prints) <br />• GIS-based network maps <br />• Permit submissions/CAD engineering prints <br />• Material specifications <br />• Bill of Materials (BOM) <br />• Deployment cost estimates <br />• Splice matrices <br />• Network logical (“stick”) schematics <br />CTC will produce a job package containing “Issued For Construction” (IFC) EWDs, including a final <br />BOM, itemized cost estimates, proof of permit issuance, and approved engineered drawings, <br />splice matrices, material specifications. <br />21
