<br />• GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br />AND INEQUITY <br />The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br />color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br />origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br />or economic status. <br /> <br /> <br />Department on Aging <br /> <br />4. The Department on Aging has received the following additional funds: <br /> <br />• Home and Community Block Grant - anticipates receipt of additional Home <br />Community Block Grant Funds, distributed by the Triangle J Council of <br />Governments, in the amount of $11,016. Funds will be used to purchase <br />furnishings for the Passmore Senior Center. <br /> <br />• Operation Fan Program - anticipates additional revenue for the Operation Fan <br />Program from Duke Energy and Valassis Energy, totaling $3,550, for fans and <br />window air conditioning units, for Orange County adults 60 years old and over. <br /> <br />• Wellness Class Fees - based on current year and historical collections, the <br />Department on Aging anticipates receiving additional revenue of $4,085 in <br />wellness class fees, which will pay wellness instructors and class expenses <br />related to the Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Program. This budget <br />amendment amends the current Senior Citizen Health Promotion Grant Project <br />Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br /> Senior Citizen Health Promotion Wellness Grant ($4,085) - Project # 294303 <br /> <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current <br />FY 2017-18 <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Amendment <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Revised <br />Senior Citizen Wellness Funds $156,157 $4,085 $160,242 <br />Total Project Funding $156,157 $4,085 $160,242 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY <br />2017-18 <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Amendment <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Revised <br />Senior Citizen Wellness $156,157 $4,085 $160,242 <br />Total Costs $156,157 $4,085 $160,242 <br /> <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds.
