Orange County Consolidated Plan – Revised Annual Action Plan Update and 15 <br />Proposed Uses of the FY 2018-2019 HOME Funds 16 <br /> 17 <br />Sherrill Hampton, Housing Director, reviewed the information below: 18 <br /> 19 <br />The Board received input from the public regarding the revised proposed Annual Action Plan 20 <br />and update of the FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development 21 <br />Programs in Orange County, as well as the revised proposed uses of FY 2018-2019 HOME 22 <br />Funds and vote to close the public hearing. 23 <br /> 24 <br />BACKGROUND: 25 <br />Orange County completed the required notice and public hearing process earlier and the Board 26 <br />of County Commissioners approved, by resolution, the FY 2018-2019 Annual Action Update 27 <br />and proposed uses of funds on May 1, 2018. However, HUD allocated a funding increase of 28 <br />$111,647 from the anticipated HOME budget advertised on March 13, 2018 and discussed at 29 <br />the Board’s public hearing held on April 3, 2018. Due to the substantial increase in funding, the 30 <br />County is holding another public hearing on the use of the additional funds, and staff will 31 <br />present the revised budget and proposed use of funds to the Board of County Commissioners 32 <br />for final approval at the Board’s June 19, 2018 meeting. 33 <br /> 34 <br />The public hearing provides an opportunity for the public, public agencies and other interested 35 <br />parties to provide input as it relates to the revised annual update of the Consolidated Plan and 36 <br />proposed Annual Action Plan. In addition, the public is asked to comment on the revised 37 <br />proposed use of FY 2018-2019 Program Year funds.
