Tonight’s presentation is an update of the Campaign work. 36 <br /> 37 <br />The Bicycle Safety Implementation Subcommittee (BSIS) of the OUTBoard was formed by the 38 <br />OUTBoard in June 2017 to begin implementation of the “Drive Safely, Ride Safely” Campaign 39 <br />developed by the Bicycle Safety Task Force (BSTF) through its work in 2016-2017. The 40 <br />Campaign is designed to foster mutual respect and shared interest in road safety between 41 <br />motorists and cyclists. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Initial Campaign Launch Activities 44 <br />• The following activities have been, or are in the process of being completed in 45 <br />collaboration with the Community Relations Department: 46 <br />o The creation of the slogan ‘Ride Safely Drive Safely’ and logo; 47 <br />o Design and distribution of brochures and posters; 48 <br />o Social media ads and posts, and radio ads; and 49 <br />o The design and launch of the orangecountyncbicyclesafety.com website; in 50 <br />collaboration with the Community Relations Department. 51
