FY 2018-19 Budget Discussions with: 22 <br />• Durham Technical Community College, Pg. 152 and Attachment G 23 <br /> 24 <br />Matt Williams, Durham Tech Vice-President of Finance and Administrative Services, 25 <br />introduced Tom Jaynes, Executive Director, and Jaclyn Krohn, Director of Orange County 26 <br />Campus. 27 <br /> 28 <br />County Support of Orange County Campus of Durham Technical Community College 29 <br />(DTCC) 30 <br />The recommended funding for the Orange County Campus of Durham Technical Community 31 <br />College, located at the Waterstone Development in Hillsborough, provides current expense 32 <br />funding of $655,144, recurring capital of $75,000, and debt service payments of $251,080. In 33 <br />addition, the recommended budget includes $200,000 for 200 scholarships (student tuition for 34 <br />Orange County Residents), which will be paid from Article 46 Sales Tax proceeds instead of 35 <br />through Current Expenses. 36 <br /> 37 <br />As with local school districts, counties in North Carolina are responsible for supplementing state 38 <br />and federal appropriations to community colleges. For the most part, counties are responsible 39 <br />for day-to-day operating costs such as utilities, security and custodial services.
