<br />The Board may recall considering this applicant in .January of this year. He was not appointed in favor <br />of additional recruiting efforts geared toward attracting more women to the Council, to attain a more <br />balanced gender ratio. Subsequent intensive recruiting efforts have yielded no additional female <br />applicants, however our other nomination this evening is female. Ifboth aze appointed, a 7:4 <br />(men:women) ratio would result, with our Hillsborough vacancy remaining unfilled. Currently, there <br />is no female applicant from Hillsborough. RPAC is hopeful that recruiting efforts for this position may <br />yield a female candidate within the next few months.
