I <br />work with over 100 volunteers, have edited close to 30 standards, and attend various <br />meetings taking minutes and providing procedural information. <br />Volunteer Experience: <br />I have volunteered at the Orange County Animal Shelter (OCAS) for the past year, <br />working on Saturday and Sunday mornings cleaning the cat rooms, socializing cats, and <br />assisting with vaccinations and other medical attention, <br />Education: <br />I have a masters degree from NC State in technical communication and recently started <br />at Alamance Community College (through Durham TCC) in the animal care and <br />management program, I would like to enroll in the veterinary technician program at <br />Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, but at this time classes are only offered <br />on weekdays and I work full time. <br />Other Comments: <br />Although I live in Durham, I volunteer at OCAS, My daughters' cat that they have at their <br />father's house in Hillsborough was adopted from OCAS 7 years ago, and I now have two <br />cats that I adopted from OCAS. I have joint custody of my daughters, but they have <br />attended Hillsborough schools since my oldest daughter started middle school (she is <br />now a freshman at Appalachian State University and has applied to transfer to UNC in <br />
