ASAB recruitment updates

a. Board members did their due diligence to reach out to church organizations, non-
profit organizations and social groups in an effort to diversify board members,
however these efforts have not, as yet, yielded any potential candidates.

b. The BOCC made two appointments to the board at its November 19, 2013
meeting, filling the Hillsborough and the at large board positions. Two slots remain
open – animal trainer/handler and animal advocate.

c. BOCC may be changing the way it makes appointments. Present policy appears to
favor making prompt appointments and not allowing vacancies to remain unfilled.

2. Potentially Dangerous Dog Appeal Committee
