Page 2 of 2 Tammy Lambert our community even better. There are two areas in which I have particular interest: the arts (my true passion!), and housing and community development. I am an avid arts supporter and amateur photographer who has been collecting art for years. I understand the importance of art in our community, and I am excited about the possibility of assisting in the creation of new ideas and works for public display. Art plays an important part in my daily life, bath at work and at home, and I would love to extend my passion for the arts to my work with the Arts Commission. I am familiar with the work of the Commission, having attended various functions over the years and purchased art from Orange County artists.. The open studio tour is one of the highlights of the year for me! I am also very much aware of the need for adequate and affordable housing in the area, and I understand the delicate balances between the need for growth, the desire far historic/architectural preservation, and the financial issues that face many of our community's citizens. I am familiar with community resources such as Orange Community Housing and Land Trust and the role that they play for university employees and other lower-income workers. I am not, however, blind to the need for all types of housing in the area, and I feel that I can offer balanced, educated input into such issues. I am excited about the future of Orange County, and I look forward to working with other community members on either the Arts Commission or the Affordable Housing Advisory Board (both if possible, though the Arts Commission is my first choice!).
