Monica Evans -new board appointment letter.doc Page ` <br />February 15, 2005 <br />To: BOCC <br />From: Leah Rade, Arts Commission Chair <br />RE: Board Appointments <br />We would like to suggest the following four persons for appointment tc the Orange <br />County Arts Commission: <br />Lauri Alexander <br />Tammy Lambert <br />Randy Owen <br />Katherine Poulos <br />Three of these volunteers would fill the newly created board positions (replacing <br />Adelaide Spitsbergen, Stephen Haebig, and Rosa Tattoli who are unavailable to serve) <br />and one would replace Sue Pickett, who has recently resigned. <br />All have expressed an interest in serving on our board by submitting volunteer <br />applications to Orange County. <br />Currently, our board is comprised of 4 men and 7 women. <br />If appointed, these volunteers would bring the following strengths to the OCAC board: <br />• Lauri Alexander (arts education, real estate broker, Chapel Hill resident) <br />• Tammy Lambert (university connection, Hillsborough -Bingham township) <br />• Randy Owen (businessman, Hillsborough -Cedar Grove township) <br />• Katherine Poulos (performing arts, paralegal, Chapel HiII resident) <br />We are planning a board retreat for April 23, 2005, and would very much Tike to have <br />newly appointed commission members on board by that time, <br />Thank you so much for your consideration <br />
