Rep. David Price
Application for Fiscal Year 2006 TTH Appropriations Project Funding
This is an application to request member-sponsored finding through the fiscal year (FY) 2006
Transportation, Treasury, and HUD Appropriations bilk Requests for funding should be submitted via
email to Susan Howard (susan.howard(ct)mail.house.gov) by March 1, 2005,. Because of the limited
funding available for member-sponsored projects, there is no guarantee that funding can be secured for
a particular project. Funding maybe tentatively designated for particular projects in the initial Hottse
version of the annual Transportation, Treasury, HUD Appropriations bill, but only finding designated
through a final, enacted version of the bill will actually be provided.
Funding for projects designated through appropriations bills is administered through executive
branch agencies as non-competitive grants. Designated grant recipients must complete an application
supplied by the relevant executive branch agency and will be subject to that agency's oversight
requirements. Please be advised that funding designated tluough the FY 2006 bill will likely not be
available until at least mid-2006, and perhaps later, depending on how quickly the designated recipient
completes the application requirements, Some agencies may retain a percentage of the amount
appropriated for a project to cover administrative costs, Fedora] law requires that an environmental
assessment be performed for any federally-funded project that involves construction.
*Requestina Oreanization: Orange County Public Library/Orange County Government
Proiect Name t;f annlicable): Orange County Heritage Center
Exact Proiect Location: Hillsborough, North Carolina
Requested Funding_Amount: $130,000
Name/Title of Project Contact: Brenda Stephens, Library Director
Address, City.
