Rep. David Price
Application for Fiscal Year 2006 Interior & Environment Appropriations Project Funding
This is an application to request member-sponsored funding through the fiscal year (FY) 2006
Interior & Environment Appropriations bill. Requests for ftimdirrg should be submitted via email to
Susan Howard (susatx.howard n mail.house.eov) by March 1, 2005.. Because ofthe limited funding
available for member-sponsored projects, there is no guarantee that funding can be secured for a
particular project, Funding may be tentatively designated for particular projects in the initial House
version of the armual Interior & Environment Appropriations bill, but only funding designated through
a final, enacted version of the bill will actually be provided,
Funding for projects designated tluough appropriations bills is administered tluough executive
branch agencies as non-competitive grants. Designated grant recipients must complete an application
supplied by the relevant executive branch agency and are subject to that agency's oversight
requirements. For planning purposes, please be advised that funding designated through the FY 2006
bill will likely not be available until at least mid-2006, and perhaps later, depending on how quickly
the designated recipient completes the application requirerents. Some agencies may retain a
percentage of the amount appropriated for a project to cover administrative costs.
*Requestine Oreanization: Orange County Public Library/Orange County Government
Protect Name Graonticable): Orange County Lleritage Center
Exact Project Location: Hi]lsborough, North Carolina
Requested Funding_Amount: $1.30,000
Name/Title of Project Contact: Brenda Stephens /Library Director
Address, City.
