greatly enhance the lives of seniors in Orange County. This center
will be the anchor for services to the senior population in the southern
part of Orange County. The Center will foster collaboration and
partnering with other human services agencies in the County, the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC Hospitals,
thereby providing a model for creative service delivery to seniors
nationwide.
The property is located in North Carolina's Fourth Congressional
District represented by Congressman David Price.
Indicate names of other congressional members planning to make this
request:
None at this time.
Are you planning to pursue additional funding for this program in future
budget considerations?
The Southern Orange Senior Center, including the kitchen facilities,
is scheduled to begin constriction in the fall 2005 and will be
completed in the summer 2006. Based on this timeframe and the
nature of this request, no plan to pursue additional funding is
expected.
