6 <br />19) ** Reinstatement of full State funding through NC State <br />University for positions (two in Orange County) cut to <br />50o funding for 2004-05 for the Expanded Foods and <br />Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) that assists low- <br />income families and pregnant teens by providing basic <br />nutrition education, food preparation, food safety, food <br />selection, and infant feeding instruction; <br />20) ** Oppose legislation that would remove the option of <br />enforcement of child support orders by Clerks of Court <br />unless adequate state funding is provided to cover start <br />up and continuation costs to counties (such as Orange) <br />where the State does not directly administer the Child <br />Support Enforcement program; <br />21) ** Support sustained funding for problem-solving court <br />models within Judicial District 15B. These programs <br />diminish court costs and the strain on the limited, <br />already over-burdened judicial system and include the <br />Adult Drug Treatment Court, Family Dependency DTC, <br />Community Resource Court, Youth Planning Coordinator, <br />and Orange County Dispute Settlement Center. All court <br />problem-solving endeavors are based on collaborative <br />models usually involving two or more human service <br />agencies plus dedicated court representatives.
